1. WHO WE ARE

Local Loop is a community-based mobile application operated by TeamBalance Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use Local Loop (the “App”). If you have questions, contact support@localloop.co.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Information you provide

We collect information such as: Phone number (for account verification and security), Email address, Name / display name, District / local area selection, User content (posts, comments, and messages), and Business information (if applicable).

2.2 Information collected automatically

We collect Device and app information (type, OS version), Log data (IP address, timestamps, crash diagnostics), and Usage data.

2.3 Information in photos/videos (metadata)

If you upload photos/videos, they may contain metadata. We do not require precise location data and do not request GPS location by default.

3. HOW CONTENT AND DISTRICT VISIBILITY WORKS

District visibility is a core part of Local Loop. Your selected district is visible to other users within your district. Your posts and comments are visible to all users within your district. Content is not visible to users in other districts.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use personal information to create and manage accounts, verify users, show local content, and moderate the community. We do not sell your personal data.

5. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (UK GDPR)

Where UK GDPR applies, we process personal data under: Contract, Legitimate interests, Legal obligation, and Consent.

6. SERVICE PROVIDERS

We use trusted service providers: Twilio (verification codes), Amazon Web Services (media storage), and Firebase Analytics (usage trends).

7. ACCOUNT VERIFICATION & SECURITY

Local Loop uses verification codes and does not use or store passwords. Your phone number is not publicly displayed. Never share your verification code with anyone.

8. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We may share information with service providers to operate the app, if required by law, or to protect user safety. We do not share personal information for advertising sales.

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information while your account is active. Upon request for deletion, we will delete or anonymise data within a reasonable period (typically 30–90 days).

10. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Our service providers may process data in the UK and other countries with appropriate safeguards.

Local Loop is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
